The burial ceremony of the beloved elder sister of Dame Princess Minnie Igbrude, PhD, held in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities, political leaders, and respected stakeholders from across the state.
Among the distinguished dignitaries who honoured the solemn occasion was Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the First Lady of Delta State, who attended in solidarity and support.
Also represented at the event was His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, ably represented by the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Elder Godwin Ogorugba.
The Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sir Monday Onyeme, was also represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief Osakwe, while the Executive Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Hon. Voke Warri, was present in person.
Other notable personalities in attendance included Distinguished Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta South Senatorial District; Former Senator Stella Omu; representative of Hon Rep Ajirioghene Ukodhiko Jonathan,Yole OgagaTalks; Pastor Joseph Ithiwre, Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission; Hon. Ebikeme Clark, Commissioner for Riverine and Waterways; Chief Eta Enahoro; Chief Idu Amaide; Hon. Emmanuel Egbabo, Delta State APC Organising Secretary; the ALGON Chairman, as well as many other political leaders, traditional figures, and community stakeholders.
The gathering reflected not only a moment of mourning but also a strong show of unity, solidarity, and respect for the family.
In her remarks, Dame Princess Minnie Igbrude, PhD, expressed profound gratitude to all the dignitaries, friends, associates, and well-wishers who took time out of their busy schedules to attend and support her family during this period of grief. She also extended heartfelt appreciation to those who were unable to attend due to previously scheduled engagements but sent their prayers and goodwill messages.
She particularly conveyed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, and Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the First Lady of Delta State (popularly known as Mama Delta), for their honour, prayers, encouragement, and support to her family.
Dame Princess Minnie Igbrude further returned all glory to God Almighty for granting the family strength and making the burial ceremony peaceful and successful
