The Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac has congratulated the state governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori , on his victory at the Appeal Court.

He said the affirmation of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the winner of the March 18, 2023, poll in the state by the Appellate Court was a well-deserved one.

According to the Youth Commissioner, the victory is for every Deltan, but it is more for the youth of the state, who came out massively on election day to secure the mandate for their future.

He said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory at the appeal court is a testimony to the results of the election, having clung 21 out of the 25 local government areas of the state, pulling 360,234 votes, leaving Senator Ovie Omo-Agege at a distant second with 240229 votes.

He said, “You can see today that women, men, and even the elderly are all celebrating this victory.”

He advised that today the people should wine and dine, tomorrow they should put on good clothes, and then on Sunday they should go and give God thanks in celebration.

The Hon. Commissioner charged the alleged petitioners to accept defeat and work with the governor in the fulfillment of the M.O.R.E. agenda.

Adding to that, the projects in Warri and environs awarded to Julius Berger and all the developmental projects going on in other parts of the state are about the future of the state, the future that is assured by today’s victory.
