The Delta State Chapter of the Tinubu Touchbearers Initiative (TTBI), under the leadership of its Coordinator, Dame Princess Minnie Igbrude, PhD, has commenced a comprehensive state tour across the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State. The tour is aimed at familiarization, grassroots engagement, and mass sensitization on the ongoing APC electronic registration and the forthcoming INEC voter card registration exercise scheduled for February.
The statewide mobilization officially began in Aniocha North and Aniocha South Local Government Areas, marking a strategic step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and deepening democratic participation ahead of future elections.
Addressing members of the Tinubu Touchbearers Initiative during the sensitization exercise, Dame Princess Minnie Igbrude, PhD, charged party faithful to take the message beyond meetings and rallies by reaching every unit and ward within their respective local governments. She emphasized that widespread awareness and active participation in the APC e-registration and voter registration processes remain the surest means for citizens to secure and exercise their constitutional right to vote.
According to her, while prayers and goodwill are important, political participation without a voter’s card is ineffective. She stressed that meaningful support for the leadership of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, must be demonstrated through lawful civic engagement, beginning with proper registration.
Dame Princess Minnie Igbrude further called on women to see political awareness as a civic duty, urging them to mobilize their husbands, children, and all eligible voters within their households and communities. She encouraged citizens of voting age to promptly visit their wards and INEC offices at the local government level to complete their registration processes.
The Tinubu Touchbearers Initiative, she reaffirmed, remains committed to grassroots mobilization, political education, and strengthening democratic values across Delta State in line with the vision of progressive governance and inclusive participation.
