The newly assigned Commissioner overseeing the Delta State Ministry of Youth Development, Godknows Angele, has assured senior management staff of the ministry of an inclusive and open-door leadership style as he held his first interactive meeting with directors and top officials of the ministry.
Speaking during the meeting, Angele said he was committed to working closely with staff to advance the objectives of the ministry and deliver on the vision of the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

“I’m out working, and anybody that is working with me should rest assured of my open-door policy,” he said, stressing the need for cooperation and unity among workers in the ministry.
The Commissioner noted that the ministry has enormous responsibilities, especially at a time when the government is focused on youth engagement and development across the state.
“We have a lot to do. It is better for us to work together because of this period we find ourselves in,” he stated.

“Since I have known you all today, by God’s grace we will work through prayer and practical efforts together,” he said.
The Commissioner also emphasized the importance of dedication and discipline in public service, encouraging staff to combine hard work with faith.
“Once you work and pray, you move ahead and God will protect you,” he added.
Speaking further, Angele disclosed that his relationship with young people over the years had helped him understand how best to manage youth-related matters, urging staff to remain patient and supportive in handling issues that may arise.
“You will see crowd now, bear with me; that is me for you. There is a way to manage them,” he said, while stressing the need for accessibility and understanding in dealing with youths.

The Commissioner expressed confidence in the ministry, noting that his findings before the assignment convinced him that the ministry remained “another good place to work.”
He assured the staff of his readiness to work with all departments to ensure the ministry achieves meaningful results under the current administration.
