Delta State Commissioner for Housing and Youth Development, Hon. Godknows Angele, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, embarked on an inspection of ongoing government housing and infrastructure projects in Asaba, expressing satisfaction with the pace of work while reaffirming the state’s commitment to delivering the projects before the end of the year.

The inspection took the Commissioner to the Delta State House of Assembly Hospital and Office Complex, the Judges’ Quarters, as well as the blocks of terrace flats at the Junior Staff Quarters, where he assessed the level of progress and interacted with project contractors.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Angele stated that the projects form part of the Delta State Government’s efforts to provide quality infrastructure and improve the welfare of public servants and other beneficiaries.

He disclosed that all the projects inspected are expected to be completed and ready for use by December 2026, noting that the Ministry would continue to monitor progress to ensure contractors adhere to approved specifications and delivery timelines.

The Commissioner stressed that Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration remains committed to executing people-oriented projects that will enhance service delivery and improve living conditions across the state.

Responding, one of the contractors handling the projects assured the Commissioner that work was progressing according to schedule, adding that the roofing, finishing works and other outstanding components would be completed before the end of the year.
The contractor reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering quality projects within the stipulated timeframe, assuring that the December 2026 completion target would be achieved.
