Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilisation, Hon. Chief Lucky Blessing Abuah, has commended the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Olorogun Innocent Ifeanyi Esewezie, for what he described as his commitment to grassroots development and people-oriented projects across the council area.
Abuah gave the commendation during a brief interaction with journalists in Asaba, where he specifically lauded the groundbreaking of the Achalla Cottage Hospital in Ibusa, describing the project as a landmark intervention in the healthcare sector.
According to him, the hospital project reflects the determination of the Oshimili North administration to improve access to quality healthcare services and enhance the well-being of residents, particularly those in Achalla and neighbouring communities.
He noted that the groundbreaking ceremony, performed by the Obuzor of Ibusa, His Royal Majesty Obi Prof. Louis Chelunor Nwoboshi, marked the beginning of a new chapter in healthcare delivery within the community.
The Governor’s aide said the establishment of the cottage hospital would not only bring medical services closer to the people but would also contribute significantly to reducing the burden on existing healthcare facilities in the area.
Abuah further stated that development projects of such magnitude underscore the importance of visionary leadership and effective collaboration in advancing the welfare of the people at the grassroots level.
He praised Esewezie for initiating projects aimed at improving the living standards of residents, adding that the council chairman had continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering democratic dividends to the people of Oshimili North.
The SSA also linked the increasing pace of infrastructural development across states and local government areas to improved revenue accruing to sub-national governments following recent economic reforms by the Federal Government.
According to him, the ongoing projects in Oshimili North serve as practical examples of how available resources can be utilized to address critical needs and improve the quality of life of citizens.
Abuah also commended the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Nnabuife, for his leadership and dedication to grassroots party engagement.
He noted that Nnabuife’s efforts in strengthening party structures and maintaining close contact with members at the grassroots have contributed to fostering unity and political stability within the local government.
The youth mobilization aide expressed optimism that sustained cooperation among political leaders, party stakeholders and community representatives would accelerate development and promote greater progress across Oshimili North and Delta State as a whole.
