Celebrations have erupted once again in Igbuzo Kingdom, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, following the latest continental recognition bestowed on one of its distinguished sons, Pastor Chukwudi Idowu Okeze.
Pastor Okeze has been honoured as one of Africa’s Top 50 Procurement and Supply Chain Leaders of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony held at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos. The event attracted procurement and supply chain experts, industry stakeholders and award recipients from more than five African countries.
The award recognises his exceptional contributions to procurement and supply chain management, ethical leadership, and outstanding service in the public sector.
The latest recognition comes just weeks after he received another notable honour, making it his second major award within a short period. His growing list of achievements has continued to project Igbuzo Kingdom and Delta State on the continental stage.
Participants at the ceremony described the recognition as well-deserved, noting that it highlights the importance of integrity, professionalism, transparency and excellence in public service at a time when such values are greatly needed.
Pastor Okeze currently serves as Director of Procurement at the Federal Cooperative College, Orji River, Enugu State. In that capacity, he oversees procurement activities across the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones, covering eleven states.
According to industry stakeholders, the honour reflects not only his personal accomplishments but also the increasing influence of Nigerian professionals in advancing procurement and supply chain practices across Africa.
With this latest accolade, Pastor Okeze has further strengthened his standing as one of Africa’s foremost procurement professionals while bringing honour to his community and state.
