The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has approved the appointments of communications professionals, Agada Abuh Theophilus and Brian Dennis, as Director and Deputy Director, respectively, of the party’s New Media and Strategic Communications Directorate.
The appointments, announced by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Osa Director, are part of efforts to strengthen the NDC’s communication strategy and enhance its engagement with Nigerians across digital and traditional media platforms.
According to the statement, Agada Abuh Theophilus will serve as Director of New Media and Strategic Communications. He is described as a seasoned strategic communications professional with extensive experience spanning political campaigns, corporate brand management, institutional public relations, and new media.
Agada is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He holds a Master of Arts degree in Development Communications, with a specialization in strategic communication for social and institutional development, and is currently pursuing a PhD focused on election administration and management.
Also appointed is Brian Dennis, who will serve as Deputy Director of New Media and Strategic Communications. Dennis is a communications analyst with seven years of experience in strategic and political communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
The party expressed confidence in the capacity of the newly appointed officials to drive its communication agenda, describing them as experienced professionals who would bring innovation, energy, and fresh perspectives to the directorate.
“The party is excited to welcome both appointees and looks forward to the energy, expertise, and fresh perspective they bring to its communications efforts. The NDC is confident that their leadership will strengthen the party’s voice and deepen its engagement with Nigerians across every platform,” the statement said.
The appointments take immediate effect as the party continues to reposition its communication machinery ahead of its political activities and nationwide engagements.
