The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for the Delta State House of Assembly, Ika North-East Constituency II, Engr. Teddy-Jackson Ngwokor, has commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, over the State Executive Council’s approval of 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses under the MORE Mass Transit Scheme, and the decision to institutionalise the payment of the 13th-month salary for Delta State workers.

Ngwokor, a licensed CNG conversion specialist and stakeholder in the oil and gas industry, described the twin policies as bold, strategic, and impactful interventions that will improve the welfare of Deltans, while positioning the state as a leading player in Nigeria’s transition to cleaner, renewable, and more affordable energy.

According to him, “The approval of CNG buses is a commendable demonstration of visionary leadership.
Beyond providing cheaper and more efficient transportation for our people, the initiative will stimulate investments in the gas value chain, create employment opportunities, reduce dependence on conventional fuels, and contribute to a cleaner environment.

“As a licensed CNG converter and stakeholder in the oil and gas sector, I see this as a policy that aligns perfectly with the future of energy and sustainable development.”

Speaking further, the APC House of Assembly candidate applauded Governor Oborevwori for moving to give legal backing to the 13th-month salary, noting that the decision reflects genuine concern for the welfare of workers and their families.

“Institutionalising the 13th-month salary is a remarkable step that guarantees workers greater financial security and demonstrates that the government values their sacrifices. It is a policy that will improve morale, boost productivity, and strengthen confidence in public service,” he stated.

Ngwokor noted that the Governor’s recent initiatives are practical examples of governance that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens, adding that sustained investment in workers’ welfare, transportation and economic development would continue to earn the confidence and support of the people.

He expressed optimism that, with the growing number of people-oriented policies being implemented across the state, Governor Oborevwori would continue to enjoy widespread support as he seeks to consolidate on his achievements beyond 2027.

“Leadership is ultimately measured by the positive impact it has on the people. These initiatives are worthy of commendation, and I encourage His Excellency to sustain this momentum for the continued growth and prosperity of Delta State, with certainty the people will reward him appropriately at the 2027 polls” Ngwokor added.
