The Chairman of the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Pastor Joseph Otirhue, has congratulated the people of Delta State and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state.
Otirhue, in a goodwill message marking the milestone, described the anniversary as an important occasion for reflection on the journey of Delta State, the achievements recorded ov4er the years and the prospects for a greater future.
He commended successive administrations in the state for their contributions to the development of Delta, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare, human capital development and grassroots transformation.
The Local Government Service Commission Chairman also praised Governor Oborevwori for 11 he described as his commitment to inclusive governance and the implementation of projects and policies aimed at improving the lives of Deltans across the three senatorial districts.
According to him, the MORE Agenda of the present administration has continued to provide direction for sustainable development, with emphasis on meaningful infrastructure, opportunities for the people and improved welfare.
Otirhue urged Deltans to remain united, peaceful and supportive of the government, stressing that the collective efforts of citizens, government and other stakeholders were necessary to sustain the progress recorded in the state.
He further called on the people to continue to promote the peace and unity that have remained critical to Delta State’s development, while encouraging them to support initiatives that would create a more prosperous future for present and future generations.
He congratulated Governor Oborevwori and all Deltans on the 35th anniversary, praying for continued peace, prosperity and greater development across the state.
“On this historic 35th anniversary, I celebrate with His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and the good people of Delta State. May our dear state continue to witness greater development, peace and prosperity,” Otirhue said.
