…As PAYA Passes Vote of Confidence on Tinubu, Sheriff

The Coordinator General of the Progressive Anioma Youth Association (PAYA), Chief Mayor Enujeko, has called on youths across Delta North to mobilize grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, declaring that both leaders have earned the confidence of the group.

Speaking at a strategic gathering of youths drawn from the nine local government areas of Delta North, Enujeko emphasized that PAYA has, for now, limited its endorsement strictly to the President and the Governor.

“We have not endorsed any senator, House of Representatives member, or House of Assembly candidate,” he stated. “What we have done is to pass a vote of confidence on the President and the Governor.”

The PAYA leader, however, charged political aspirants seeking elective positions to present their performance records before expecting support from the youth body.

“Aspirants must show us their report cards. Let them tell us what they have done for the people. Only then can we consider endorsement,” Enujeko said.

Highlighting the strategic importance of Delta North in the state’s political arithmetic, he noted that the senatorial district, with its nine local government areas, remains a decisive force compared to Delta Central and Delta South, which have eight each.

“By sheer numerical strength, Delta North has always been the deciding factor. Any candidate that secures the support of this structure has a clear advantage,” he added.

Enujeko urged members of the association to return to their communities and spread the message of continuity.

“Go back home and tell your fathers, your mothers, your relatives that Sheriff is coming back. Tell them Tinubu is coming back,” he charged.

He further stressed that PAYA would play an active role in screening and supporting credible candidates at all levels, insisting that the era of imposition and poor representation was over.

“There will be no more enforcing failure. We want genuine representation of our people at all levels of government,” he said.

Enujeko assured that any aspirant who proves competence and capacity would enjoy the full backing of the association.

“If you are the best candidate, we will market you. The people are ready, and the structure is strong,” he concluded.
