The leadership and members of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Asaba Chapter, have congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing his administration as transformational and development-driven.
In a congratulatory message signed by the President of the union, Olorogun Dr. Austin Authority Akpede, the group praised Governor Oborevwori for what it described as his intellectual capacity, humility, visionary leadership, and administrative competence, which have continued to advance the growth and development of Delta State.
The union particularly commended the governor for attracting the globally renowned construction company, Julius Berger, to Delta State, noting that the move has significantly improved the quality and global standard of infrastructural projects and programme delivery across the state.
According to the statement, Governor Oborevwori has distinguished himself as “a rare breed leader” and a committed developer of both human and material capital resources through people-oriented policies and impactful governance.
The UPU stated that under the governor’s purposeful leadership, Delta State has increasingly emerged as a hub of excellence and a model for infrastructural and human capital development in Nigeria.
The group further applauded the governor’s peace-driven governance style and inclusive leadership, stressing that his developmental strides have continued to position Delta State for sustainable progress and prosperity.
“If these outstanding achievements continue at this pace, traveling to Delta State will indeed feel like traveling abroad,” the statement added.
The union also prayed for God to grant the governor greater wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance as he continues to lead the state to greater heights.
The statement concluded by congratulating the governor, fondly referred to as “Ukodo 1 of Africa,” on what it described as a memorable milestone in his administration.
